Customer Challenge

Turn faced challenges regarding website scalability and resiliency before deploying on AWS. Their previous hosting solution struggled to handle increased traffic, leading to performance issues and potential revenue loss. The platform lacked the necessary resiliency for continuous availability, which was crucial for ongoing marketing promotions. A stable hosting environment capable of scaling and maintaining resilience was urgently needed to overcome these obstacles.

Turn wanted a secure cost-effective solution with high availability and low-latency performance.

SUDO Solution

SUDO team meticulously evaluated the customer’s workload requirements and proposed a robust solution with a focus on resiliency. Leveraging a Multi-AZ architecture, we created two identical environments: Development and Production.

To ensure high availability, we designed a Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) with multiple subnets across different Availability Zones (AZs). Within this resilient infrastructure, we deployed the customer’s website on EC2 instances and implemented Elastic Load Balancer (ELB) for efficient traffic distribution. We also incorporated NAT Gateway and Internet Gateway to enable secure communication between the VPC and external networks.

To enhance scalability and fault tolerance, we leveraged auto-scaling and auto- recovery features. Additionally, we utilized CloudWatch for proactive monitoring, ensuring prompt detection and response to any performance issues. For auditability and compliance, we implemented Config and CloudTrail.
